Pedestrian Critically Injured in Orange County Hit-and-Run Accident

Authorities have identified a pedestrian who suffered critical injuries in an Orange County car accident as 48-year-old Zhen Huang, The Orange County Register reports. The accident occurred the afternoon of October 20, 2009. Huang was walking in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Pacific Avenue in Stanton when she was struck by a light blue pickup truck that was turning left from Pacific to Magnolia. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene dragging Huang about 10 feet.

I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Zhen Huang. She was apparently a loving mother who moved with her family from Hong Kong so she could give her children a good education.
