BISNAR | CHASE Fundraising for Walk Like MADD Event a Huge Success
Jun 02
On May 8th, the California DUI Accident Victim Lawyers, BISNAR | CHASE, participated in the Orange County Mothers Against Drunk Driving event, Walk Like MADD. The event included a 5K and various other stations to help raise money for MADD's programming to prevent drunk-driving accidents through education, awareness, and the passage and enforcement of anti-drunk driving legislation.
Raising over $13,000, BISNAR | CHASE was the top fundraising team at the event. Many staff members walked the 5K or supplied water to those who were walking. They also fulfilled the important role of Designated Driver Sponsor, where BISNAR | CHASE team members educated people about DUI Victims' Rights. People attending the event were able to pick up a Personal Rights Handbook for the Victims of Drunk Driving too. Further, the law firm held a popular "Dunk the Law Firm" dunk tank, face painting, and balloon animal stations, all which helped generate hundreds of dollars for MADD.
"It feels great to be part of such an important event, making a difference in the lives of drunk driving crash victims and their families," said John Bisnar, founder of BISNAR | CHASE. "I'm proud of our team and the money we raised for such a worthy cause. Giving back by providing financial support for drunk driving prevention programs is not only extremely rewarding, it's critical to the survival of MADD and its programs, especially in these tough economic times."
With more than 1,500 participants, the Orange County Walk Like MADD event is one of the largest amongst all MADD events nationwide. All of the proceeds from the event go towards MADD educational programs and the support of victims, and families of victims, who have been affected by drunk driving collisions.
"Plans are already underway for next year's event," said Bisnar. "Our goal is to top this year's fundraising total by working with local law enforcement agencies, politicians and high profile members of our community to generate awareness, and ultimately, additional funding for MADD and its programs."
BISNAR | CHASE is enthusiastic about actively supporting MADD because drunk driving and hit-and-run statistics in California are very high. In 2008, around 11,773 people died in alcohol-impaired car accident in America, and three of every 10 Americans will be involved in an alcohol-related traffic collision in their lifetime. Victims faced with the task of Recovering Personal Damages From a DUI Accident will have an unfair challenge without the proper knowledge and experience. BISNAR | CHASE has recently helped launch a Hit-and-Run Reward Program that allows people to anonymously contribute information that helps catch people who have fled from the scene of an accident for a cash reward.
