How To Choose an Irvine Car Accident Lawyer

An Irvine car accident lawyer is an absolute necessity if you want to recover all the damages to which you are entitled from your car accident.  But how do you choose the right Irvine car accident attorney?  With so many attorneys around, many of them advertising for your business, it can be a bit confusing to choose the one which will work best with you.  However, there are some basic rules to choosing an attorney which do not change, no matter what the situation.  Here are some tips for finding the right Irvine car accident attorney to handle your case.

1) Listen to what others tell you. One of the best ways to find out how an attorney works with clients is to talk to those who have used that particular lawyer.  Former clients tend to give unbiased reviews; if a former client is angry with an attorney, there is usually a reason.  On the other hand, a client who tells you that the attorney was approachable, easy to talk to, and worked hard to get her a fair settlement is probably not just trying to drum up business for her former lawyer.  Talk to people you trust who you know have used a personal injury lawyer in the past and ask for honest recommendations. Bystander Killed in Chase of Burglary Suspects

January 23, 2012--Newark, CA--an innocent man lost his life Monday during a high-speed chase of three burglary suspects with extensive criminal histories.  Authorities verified that a Fremont man, whose name has not been released, was driving a Honda sedan on Cherry Street and Mowry Avenue.  He was struck by the airborne vehicle of three men running from the police in connection with a burglary charge.  The victim was killed instantly in an impact that was heard for several blocks.

Police maintain that they were not chasing the vehicle with the three suspects at the time of the accident, but had called off the pursuit due to the dangerous nature of the chase.  Police had earlier attempted to make a traffic stop in relation to a 911 call received about a burglary.  When the officer attempted to stop the suspects' vehicle, the driver eluded the officer, driving at a high rate of speed.  Witnesses estimated the car was traveling up to 80 miles per hour as it left the scene.  Although police initially pursued the car, the pursuit was called off due to the dangerous nature of the chase.  The suspects' vehicle struck the victim's car about a mile and a half from the point where police allegedly stopped pursuit.

The suspects were taken into custody shortly after the accident.

My prayers and condolences go out to the victim's family at this time. More

Anaheim Motorcycle Accident Riders Beware

Motorcycle accident lawyers in Anaheim know that riders are in serious trouble. Motorcyclists are 35 times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash than the drivers of automobiles, according to the Highway Transportation Safety Administration. The reasons for this may seem obvious: motorcyclists have far less protection from the effects of a crash than those in a car., and are far more likely to be hurt or killed if they suffer a collision. However, this is not the whole story.

In two-thirds of the cases in which a motorcycle collides with a car, it is the driver of the car, not the driver of the motorcycle, who is at fault. This data comes from the Hurt Report, published in 1981 at the request of Congress. The Hurt Report focused on motorcycle riders in the Los Angeles area, but its findings have been used to support studies and changes in laws throughout the nation. More
