Sioreli Torres Zamora, 6, was killed in a San Francisco area car accident when a car struck her in a crosswalk. According to a report in The San Jose Mercury News, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred in East Palo Alto, the morning of September 28, 2011. Guadalupe Zamora was walking with her three daughters when a BMW SUV driven by Falisha Whiteparker hit Sioreli. The girl was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. Sioreli passed away at the scene of the crash. Her mother and two sisters were not hurt in the accident. It is not clear if the driver will be cited for the fatal crash.

An 83-year-old man was killed in a San Francisco area car accident, which officials say, involved a drunk driver. According to a news report in The San Francisco Chronicle, the fatal DUI crash occurred at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and East King Avenue in Fremont, the afternoon of September 25, 2011. Witnesses notified the authorities of a possible drunk driver but they were unable to find the black Toyota Tundra before it was involved in a fatal crash. Todd Lovejoy, 53, crashed into the back of two GMC pickup trucks that had slowed for a traffic signal. The driver of one of the GMC pickups was killed when his vehicle crashed into a signal light and rolled over. Lovejoy was taken to a nearby hospital for unspecified injuries and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

A wheelchair-bound 67-year-old man was killed in a San Francisco area car accident involving a hit-and-run driver. According to a report in the San Jose Mercury News, the hit-and-run car accident occurred at the intersection of Homestead and Quince avenues in Santa Clara during the early morning hours of September 25, 2011. Officials say the victim was crossing the road in a wheelchair when a car struck and dragged him at least 300 feet before driving away. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and died at a nearby hospital. Officials say the suspect vehicle has damage to its front end and rear windshield.

A 51-year-old man was killed in a Los Angeles County motorcycle accident involving a big rig. According to a news report in The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the fatal collision occurred on the Garfield Avenue on-ramp of the 10 Freeway in Alhambra, the afternoon of September 23, 2011. For unknown reasons, the victim’s 2008 Harley-Davidson Road King veered out of control on the on-ramp and struck a big rig. The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and hit by a truck in the right lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Jose Asuncion Aguirre, 61, was killed in a Los Angeles car accident after he was hit by a Lexus while loading groceries into his truck, the afternoon of September 20, 2011. According to a news report in the Daily Breeze, the fatal car accident occurred at the El Super Market on West Century Boulevard in Inglewood. Police said Aguirre was loading groceries into the back of his Ford Ranger pickup truck, when the driver of a 2000 Lexus struck the Ford and knocked the victim into the path of a 2001 GMC Yukon. The driver of the Lexus fled the scene.

Aguirre suffered major trauma to his upper body and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver of the Lexus returned to the scene 30 minutes later. Authorities have not charged the driver as the investigation is ongoing. Officials say the driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while parking in a stall in front of where Aguirre was at the time of the collision.

Vincent Giuliano, 21, and Jake Joseph Blood, 27, were both killed in a Riverside car accident involving a truck rollover. Emeliano Perez, 53, and two Moreno Valley men, aged 23 and 26, were killed in a Riverside car accident involving a wrong-way driver, the night of September 17, 2011. According to a news report in The Press Enterprise, the fatal car accident occurred on an Interstate 215 off-ramp, coming from the 60 Freeway. A California Highway Patrol officer attempted to stop the 2003 Jaguar from entering the off-ramp the wrong way, but was unsuccessful. Officials say the 26-year-old driver of the Jaguar was fleeing the CHP officer, who was trying to stop him for a traffic violation. Soon after, the Jaguar crashed head-on into a 2010 Nissan Frontier pickup. Two occupants in the Jaguar, including its driver, and Perez, who was a passenger in the Nissan, were killed. An investigation is ongoing.

Lucciana Francesca Colotta, 18, of Corona, was killed in a Riverside car accident after the vehicle in which she was passenger went out of control and crashed. According to a news report in The Press-Enterprise, the fatal car accident occurred the night of September 17, 2011 near the intersection of Hidden Valley Parkway and Via Blairo Circle in Norco. Officials say Colotta was a rear seat passenger in a Cadillac CTS driven by 23-year-old Antonelo Colotta. The vehicle went out of control and slid into a Hummer H2 SUV. Lucciana Francesca Colotta died at the scene. The driver suffered major injuries and was hospitalized in critical condition. The occupants of the Hummer were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation is ongoing.

According to a news report in The Press-Enterprise, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred early morning on September 12, 2011 on Country Village Road south of Wagon Way in Jurupa Valley. Parrilla was crossing the street when he was struck by the northbound vehicle. Officials say the driver did not see Parrilla walking across the roadway. An investigation is ongoing.
